1990 Ford 8730 Manual
Hi We have a ford 8730 here which we are trying to get up together. Basically the tractor runs fine and drives well in all gears. The only issue we have is that we cant get it to enter calibration mode.
We have been through the correct procedure but instead of displaying `CC` it flashes `R`. The input speed sensor isnt working and is showing `H3` in the transmission display when driving so maybe this is stopping it entering calibration? Any help would be appreciated thanks in advanceThat would be logical. If it cannot sense the input speed then it probably can't use this information which isn't available to calibrate against.

Does it try and calibrate the reverse when R is up? Go for the speed sensor first, if its anything like a later NH box it needs to read a speed to calibrate. If that doesn,t fix it you can make me a offer on my TW! H3 show in normal use which is speed sensor fault. It wont enter into calibration so hopefully is just speed sensor fault stopping procedure. Need to have your tw on demo for a few days before i can make an offer!
