Hi all There was an edition of the PADI Advanced open water course manual whose front cover looks like this: I believe the was the previous edition of the manual. Rating: PADI Advanced Open Water Manual with Slate Review - Scuba Gear Reviews Reviewer: Todd P. Just wanted the manual for the online theory course I took, this was place to get it.
Wreck dive. Digital underwater Photography dive. Peak Performance Buoyancy dive. Drift dive. Underwater Naturalist dive For a full description on each of these diving activities please refer to our which explains each of these in more detail. If you are already then you can earn the Advanced Open Water Diver rating within 2 days. What’s involved?.
Day 1 – You’ll receive your Adventures in Diving participant manual and then discuss with your diving instructor exactly which Adventure Dives you would like to participate in. For each course dive there is a corresponding section in the participant manual that you’ll read and some knowledge review questions that you need to answer. Your instructor will review these answers with you as well as brief you on each dive before you go underwater. Then you’re diving again! We generally aim to do two dives on the first day and you might well find yourself diving on the Maldives Victory shipwreck or drifting through a channel at a rate of knots!. Day 2 – By this stage most of the theory should be finished and we’re looking at completing the remaining three course dives.
Generally we begin with the Adventure Deep dive which takes you down to 30m/100ft. Each successive dive will be shallower than the previous dive usually culminating in the navigation dive conducted on the bottom of the lagoon. During each training day you’ll log your dives while your instructor debriefs you on how the dives went and discusses with you what you have experienced underwater. Each of the course dives introduces you to a new aspect of scuba diving but overall they help you to broaden your understanding of the aquatic world and sharpen your diving skills.
Get a head start!. We highly recommend that participants complete the theory portion of the course online through the PADI portal.
You can do all of the knowledge development for each adventure dive from the comfort of your own home. All you need is a laptop or PC, a comfortable chair and an endless supply of coffee. If you choose this option then please discuss with us specifically which Adventure Dives you wish to participate in before starting your eLearning. Feel free to contact us directly via email or use the contact form on our website to confirm the dives with us. For more information on eLearning, you can read our PADI eLearning section of the website.
Who can participate?. The minimum age for participants is 12 years. Participants under the age of 18 will need the consent of a parent or legal guardian who should be with the underage participant to sign the various course forms.
